Fall is in full swing and there’s no better time to try out the beauty looks that are going to dominate the season. After taking a closer look at the F/W 17 runway shows, I narrowed down the Top 4 looks that are easy to achieve with a minimal amount of product. Keep reading to take a closer look…
Pink has been showing up everywhere in apparel for the past two years and now it is showing up as an Allover Beauty look. The key to achieving this trend is to make sure that you have a hint of colour on all major areas of your face. A brush of blush on the lids, across the cheeks and on the lips will do it. All you need is a multi-purpose stick or cream to achieve this soft and romantic look. One of the options you can try is the NARS x Charlotte Gainsbourg The Multiple in Light Pink.
I’ve always been a lipstick girl (thanks to Ms. Gwen Stefani) so this Deep Berry lipstick trend has got to be my favourite look for Autumn. There are so many different levels of this shade to choose from so this look can really work on any complexion and the rest of your face is left bare to ensure that the lips take are on full display. The berry hue I’ll be wearing is Maybelline’s Colorsensational Lipstick in Plum Perfect, an amazingly rich plum colour.
This look would have to be the most difficult of the group. Applying a basic cat eye may be daunting to those that don’t do so on a regular basis and this trend involves a bit more creativity – which also makes it the most flexible trend. There’s an opportunity to have a lot of fun with this application, but make sure you have some time in case you may have to make any corrections or adjustments. To get a clean and crisp line it’s best to use a liquid liner. Kat Von D’s Tattoo Liner has gotten rave reviews for achieving a precise line with it’s brush so it looks like a great option to use for this look.
Metallics are usually reserved for the Holidays but with this clean and and minimalist eye, the trend is brought out earlier for the Fall. Bronze and Gold shades are most popular and work well when paired with an otherwise simple face (think a soft touch of blush, a swipe of mascara and some natural lip coloured gloss). Tom Ford’s Cream and Powder Eye Colour comes in 4 shades that are ultra pigmented for a luxe finish.
